This past Friday Mark Perkins saw a Swallow-tailed Kite around 8:00 a.m. across the street from his house in El Paso's Upper Valley. Janet Perkins says: "We have been told this is the 2nd confirmed sighting of this species in El Paso County. It is being seen by others in the Upper Valley on Westside Drive and Gomez Rd. flying with Mississippi Kites. When flying, it is black and white with a beautiful swallow tail."
